LaVonn Schlegel brings creativity and strategic focus to your team. She specializes in helping organizations identify, analyze and develop product and sales opportunities internally and externally by establishing clear strategy, marshalling internal resources and encouraging creativity among all team members an support groups.

At Hallmark LaVonn was an original member of the Product Development And Discovery Group, initiated to establish new methods of developing products and businesses. She later took one of the businesses identified successfully to market in half the time done previously using new development, marketing, manufacturing and partnership techniques. The new Hispanic line of greeting cards broke all sales expectations.

At Sprint LaVonn Schlegel packaged business consulting with long distance phone service, reducing churn and building sales for the billion dollar mid-market segment.

She went on to launch Ameritech's cable TV entry beating penetration estimates by 200% with industry changing customer centric efforts like on-time installation, value added events and loyalty clubs.

She has led JSMI since 1997 providing Strategic Marketing and Business consulting services to companies in a wide variety of industries.

Fred Schlegel, Partner

Fred Schlegel brings ingenuity and a passion for connections to your team. He specializes in helping organizations search for the emotional and operational levers that can help drive success in the marketplace.

At Hallmark Fred Schlegel launched the first integrated line of licensed Easter product reversing years of sales declines. He developed Hallmarks first co-marketing efforts with the likes of Warner Lambert, Kodak and Sprint and created the Hallmark brand's first promotional department focused on their fastest growing mass market channels.

He has been a key partner with JSMI since 1997 providing key marketing, research and product development services for companies in a wide variety of industries and holds a patent for retail based body fat systems.

Michael Brown brings his artistic eye to your team's communication needs. He specializes in helping develop clear, original, outstanding brand identity principles to both established and re-launched brands.

At Hu-Friedy Michael Brown was developing creative new ways to communicate product features for this dental tool giant. At Fibre-Craft he managed packaging projects and new licensing directions. And at Learning Curve he has been responsible for translating brand identity into packaging solutions.

Michael has been a key art director with JSMI since 1999 providing clear communication and innovative solutions for packaging, advertising and other communication needs for a wide variety of industries.
